Pacific Future Energy Corporation (PFEC) is located in Vancouver BC, Canada, and is a leader in the Near Zero, Net Emissions (NZNC) approach to mega-energy projects, having launched its first NZNC initiative in 2014, with a BC-based refinery, with capacity of 150,000 barrels a day (Bpd).
PFEC subsequently expanded into waste-to-energy and into renewable-energy projects around the world.
Pacific Future Energy Corporation has presence in North America and in the Middle East, and is currently expanding to Europe and into Africa.
Shareholders include SNC-Lavalin (one of the largest EPC firms in the world, and JV Driver, a large Canadian construction company).
PFEC is about to initiate permitting on a 200,000 Bpd diluent recovery unit in Alberta, Canada, to be operational in 2025.
PFEC won a bid for a US$5.1-billion refinery complex in Nasiriyah, Iraq, including a 150,000 Bpd refinery, a 200-megawatt power plant, and a pipeline connecting Nasiriyah with Basra. PFEC provided 100% financing for the turnkey project in conjunction with its Chinese partner, Lanpec Technologies Ltd.
