He led one of NASDAQ’s largest IPOs and completed Latin America’s largest greenfield fibre deployment.

The Hon. Stockwell Day, PC, is Canada’s former Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, former leader of Canada’s Official Opposition (succeeded by Stephen Harper) and former Treasurer (Minister of Finance) and Acting Premier of the province of Alberta.

Chief Shawn Atleo, Board member, Advisor

Chief Shawn Atleo served as the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations from 2009 to 2014. Shawn focuses on empowering First Nations to build sustainable social and economic development based on title and treaty rights.

Salam Mawla, Board member & International Legal Consultant

Senior attorney, with over 15 years of experience. Salam assists us in seizing opportunities and managing risks tied to our expansion across borders. She guides PFEC through the maze of international law in a variety of transactions ranging from the drafting of contracts to business acquisitions.

Jussi Jaakkola, Board member representing SNC

Jussi is the vice-president of investment development at SNC-Lavalin, and has decades of experience in capital projects requiring environmental impact assessment. He is also experienced in the sectors of renewable energy, oil and gas, highway and port infrastructure.

Chief Ovide Mercredi, Senior Strategic Advisor

Chief Ovide Mercredi served as Chief of the Misipawistik Cree Nation from 2005 to 2011. He has worked tirelessly for the rights of First Nations people throughout Canada. He was also elected as National Chief for the Assembly of First Nations from 1991 to 1997.
